Carbon emissions are the release of carbon compounds, such as carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4), into the atmosphere. These compounds trap heat in the atmosphere, contributing to global warming
Carbon footprint measures the total greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions produced by a person, organization, or entity. The measurement of unit of carbon footprint is expressed with tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (Co2e), and it qualifies direct emissions such as burned in vehicles or homes but also indirect emissions from product production, etc.
On an individual scale, it accounts various different lifestyle choices including diet, travel, electricity usage, etc. (take your test here!). On a corportative scale, this includes the footprint of supply chains, factories, etc.
