Carbon emissions

Carbon emissions are the release of carbon compounds, such as carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4), into the atmosphere. These compounds trap heat in the atmosphere, contributing to global warming

Climate change

Climate change: long term changes and alterations to global temperatures, weather patterns, and overall atmospheric considiton on the earth.

While there is natural instances where climate change can occur such as volcanic eruption of natural greenhouse gas emission, human activities are the primary contributor to the rapid climate change occurring.  Activities such as burning fossil fuels, deforestation, can increase the GHG which lead to global warming.
